BTS swimwear photoshoot for flanelle magazine

The recently opened Esme Hotel on Miami Beach formed the perfect backdrop for this cover shoot for Flanelle magazine. When you’re shooting at a busy hotel timing is always key. I usually start as early as possible at the pool area, before any of the guests arrive. Especially when shooting video this is important since it’s so much harder to remove stuff from the background in post production compared to photos.

The goal of the shoot was to create photos and video to really show the quality of the swimsuits and coverups, the fabrics and craftsmanship, also of the accessories. We had complete creative freedom, so it was fun to play around with the many background options we found in the hotel. The Esme feels like a Spanish hacienda with its adobe walls and consisting of different buildings connected by outdoor corridors.

Model Nayla Latis started modeling just a year ago but is signed on with a.o. Next Model Agency and has already worked with a number of big brands.

Stylist Ariane Simard did a fantastic job putting together the outfits, the bikinis, swimsuits, coverups, sunglasses, necklaces and other accessories. Fabulous makeup by Krupa Purohit. We also created a video which you can view here.
